In 2006, ArtsCAP served as co-creator of The Acting Studio at Asbury Park High School.   The project combined the talents of high school students with local theatre professional William Whitefield to explore theatre through improvisation, acting techniques, movement, and script development.

The '06-'07 schoolyear featured the acting studio's debut performance at the APHS's spring concert.  '07-'08 began with a Holiday play at their winter concert, and culminated in Asbury Park High School's first fully staged musical production in over 15 years, "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown".

In 2008, ArtsCAP Vice President Dennis Carroll began coordinating a larger Afterschool Arts Enrichment Program, made possible through a generous grant from Interfaith Neighbors.  The grant enabled ArtsCAP to provide technical support to the Acting Studio, and serve a larger student body with interests in a wide array of artistic genres.

The Arts Enrichment Program, administered by Dennis Carroll, utilizes the expertise of other local arts organizations, such as The Black Box Theatre of Asbury Park and The Garden State Film Festival.

The first combined effort of this program is April 2009's "Little Shop of Horrors", directed and produced by William Whitefield and Gary Kilmer's Acting Studio, with technical support from the Black Box Theatre.
