Programming Committee

• Develops and implements community arts programs and events.
• Enriches arts programs in our schools.
• Supports and promotes new and emerging arts events and programs.

Communications Committee

• keeps artscap members and the public informed about arts related issues and events through publicity and pr.
• develops relationships with the press and city.
• develops and manages website, database, and arts events calendar.
• writes about local art events.
Currently Seeking: Volunteers to help with database and membership management, skilled calligraphers, graphic designers, videographers, and more.
Community Outreach Committee
Malcolm Navias, chair
• Develops connections and relationships with the city government, business and development sectors, and community based organizations.
• Aims to implement the Asbury Park Cultural Plan in the community
• Currently advocating for arts districts, affordable housing, and an arts center.

Public Art Committee
Dawn von Suskil, chair
Jason Sisino, assistant chair
• Seeks to establish a public art policy for Asbury Park that encourages the creation and display of art in public spaces: set city guidelines, designate zones for public art, allocate city funding, and establish a processes to evaluate project proposals.
Currently Seeking: Fellow visual Artists to aid in advocacy and the creation of a public art policy, as well as artists to begin working on murals.
Fundraising Committee

• develops and implements fundraising projects, including: grants, corporate sponsorships, fundraising events, and individual donations.
Currently Seeking: Grant Writers, Fundraisers, etc...
Finance Committee
• creates annual budget and report to the board of directors.
• ensures that accurate records and accounts are maintained in all aspects of responsible financial record keeping of organization.
• reviews finances of organization.
• reports to the board as to the state of finances and make financial recommendations.
Board Development Committee
Bob McKeon, esq., chair
• Responsible for developing the current board to ensure a diverse representation of our community who will implement our mission.
